The 190 - Series is the volume model in sales in the HAMMAR family, and is perfect for transfering containers to and from other chassis, as well as ground-to-ground operations. It can be mounted of several types of trailer chassis, and has a lifting capacity of 36 tonnes with 40 tonnes
(Safe Work Load) as option.
The 190-Series is more flexible than the 160 series due to it’s telescopic, tilti.ng support legs and higher lifting capacity options, and lighter than the 150-series, which yields a higher payload. The cranes and their stabilisers have been developed for both vehicle mounting and semi-trailer integration, and is available with or without stacking capability. All these things combined has made the 190 series our most popular sideloaders.
The HAMMAR 180-Series is the world’s lightest and shortest sideloader for medium weight or fully laden 20′ containers. Its lifting capacity ranges between 12 and 30 tonnes SWL (Safe Work Load), with the ability to stack containers two-high on the ground.
This fixed 20′ sidelifter is a superstructure designed to be fitted onto a rigid truck chassis of any brand.
With its compact structure and extremely low tare weight, from 3.2 metric tonnes, the truck mounted HAMMAR 180 is the lightest and most easily maneuverable sideloader on the market. Excellent for use in narrow places and where 20’ containers are dominating.
Starting over 35 years ago with the SL20 the design has proven itself in the humid jungles of Africa, in the dry deserts of Saudi Arabia, in virtually road-less mountain areas of China and of course, in shuttle-type operations in Europe.
With the many options available, the truck mounted HAMMAR can be equipped to suit every need for the handling of 20′ ISO-containers and flats.
Of course you can use a trailer capable of carrying another 20’ container behind your truck mounted HAMMAR.

Our flagship, the HAMMAR 150-Series is the result of an extensive development effort, in combination with the latest technology and long experience. It’s designed with a focus on high lifting capacities and transfering containers and flats simply and safely to and from other chassis (including railway wagons). With a 37 or 45 tonnes Safe Work Load, and tested up to 56 tonnes, the 150 series are the strongest sideloaders in the world.
The 150-Series is available in two different models, 151 and 155 (Megatransfer), which all can be integrated with different types of semi-trailer chassis. The 151 model has flexible support legs allowing for easier transferring close to a chassis in vertical position, or under a chassis. The 155 model, with it’s overleg, is extremely stable and greatly speeds up the transferring process, without risking damaging the companion vehicle chassis.
This is a completely redesigned and refined version of the ML12 series which was previously only marketed in Australia. The 140 series represents a broadening of our model range and covers the growing market for light and medium loads. With a maximum lifting capacity of 16 tonnes, the 140 series is an excellent alternative to the rest of our range.
There is the truck-mounted HAMMAR 140 B and the HAMMAR 140 T, which is mounted on a trombone chassis. With its onboard petrol engine the HAMMAR 140 B is totally independent and possible to mount on any vehicle equipped with standard 20’ container twistlocks.
This is the latest family of products which we have developed – a sideloader with three cranes which allow 2 x 20 foot containers to be handled individually. The HAMMAR 130 series has a 16 tonnes SWL, which means that it is ideal for the transportation of lightly and moderately loaded containers. The middle crane is of fully collapsible design, which allows the HAMMAR 130 to take a 40 foot container. It is also possible to have the collapsible crane mounted at the rear of the chassis, and in this way the container doors can be opened to the rear and goods can thus be loaded into the container against a loading platform, a feature unique among sideloaders!
HAMMAR sideloaders can be ordered with a high degree of customization and be adapted for a wide range of special transport purposes. Below you can see some great examples of HAMMAR builds specialized for it’s working conditions.
